a view to promote contextually relevant studies and make our
profession aware of its role in the society, the Foundation
announces to offer Fellowships for research in built environment.
Fellowship,
consisting of a Certificate and a total Cash Award of Rs. 30,000/-
each over a duration of six to nine months, is offered. The
Fellowship can be availed for a serious authentic research in
the areas of housing, urban design, city planning, architectural
history or environmental design.
In past years the Fellowships have been offered to:

Nineteenth Century to Independence".
2 Mr. M. Pratap Rao for the study “Urban Services and
management Problems: A case study of the Two Housing Colonies
in Hyderabad”.
3 Ms. Manvita Baradi for the study “Alchemy Architecture
of the Slums: Study of Recycled Materials for Building Construction
in Ahmedabad."
4 For the publication of Mr. Ron Lane Smith's study entitled
"Temple Cave Design - A Foundation of the Tradition".
5 Mr. H. V. Srinivas for the study "Architectural Grammar
for Solar Passive Design in Tropics - Performance Studies and
Simulation of Traditional Houses in Northern Karnataka".
6 Ms. Anupama Kundoo for the study "Urban Eco-community
Design and Analysis for Sustainability".
7 Mr. Arunendu Banerjee for the study "Campus Architecture
- the Built Environment of Rabindranath's Shantiniketan".
8 Mr. Arunendu Banerjee for a study "Patrick Geddes and
Rabindranath Tagore: in search of Living Environment Design-
Culture".

Mr. Kamlesh Jajoo of Solar Agni International, Pondycherry for
preparation of "Indian Design Handbook for Energy in Architecture
".

Mr. Sanjeev Joshi for a study titled "Vanishing Waterscapes
- A strategic documentation, study and development-managment
plan for recovery of urban lakes and water bowls of Baroda City"
